The New Balance 57/40 is a fresh interpretation of the iconic 574 model and a nod to the 5xx franchise. A classic for more than three decades, the New Balance 574 has been one of the industry’s most revered sneakers and today is one of NB's most iconic silhouettes.

The 57/40 upper is reinterpreted with an 80’s meets 90’s aesthetic. The classic 574 lines were moved around for a fashion-forward silhouette that is modern but remains rooted in classic New Balance DNA. The traditional N logo is enlarged, making it a design feature similar to new releases such as the 327. The sole unit offers a contemporary expression with two midsoles stacked – one inspired by 90’s heritage with a wider, wavy design, and the other a traditional 574 midsole. The enlarged off-road outsole is a throwback to the trail heritage of the 574.
